Born in Ueno, Tokyo in January 1944.
After graduating from the University of Tokyo Faculty of Law in 1967, he joined Nippon Kangyo Bank （ now Mizuho Bank ）.
He worked for the bank for about a quarter of a century, serving as Manager of the Hamamatsu Branch ・ and General Manager of the Financial Service Department at the Head Office before retiring in 1993.
Re-entered the University of Tokyo Faculty of Law in 1994. Proceeded to the Department of Thought and Culture in the Faculty of Letters, and received a Master's degree in Philosophy in 2000.
During this period, released his first album "Youth ・ Desert Boy" in 1971, and his third album "Wandering" sold over 1 million copies.
