Today, a resident in the Sakuna area of Tateyama City was told by a pension office employee, "There is a refund due to a review of your pension. Please go to the ATM immediately. Please head to an ATM immediately.
These calls are a scam.
Even if the caller claims to be from a government office or financial institution, do not easily trust them and do not give any personal information.
Refund money will never be paid at an ATM. Hang up on suspicious calls and consult your family or the police. To prevent damage, set your home landline to voicemail even when you are at home and do not talk to the person on the other end of the line.
